Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hands Of Humanity affiliated with Orthodox Missions Mexico?
No, we are NOT affiliated with, nor are we under the direction of Orthodox Missions Mexico or Metropolitan Athenagoras. We are an independent organization that works directly with the Haiti Mission, Father Barnabas and alongside IOCC to support the mission. Any funds donated to HOH go directly to HOH for mission funding.

When did HOH begin working with the Haiti Mission?
We have been working with Father Barnabas and the Haiti Mission since February 2013

What has HOH accomplished for the Haiti Mission?
1. HOH was instrumental in humanely relocating the inhabitants of the tent city that popped up on the property after the earthquake. Working with the International Organization of Migration, everyone was moved at a cost of $35,000.

2. HOH applied for, and received a $50,000 grant in order to keep the school afloat for the 2014-2015 school year. The school receives no funding from its metropolis and was in dire straits. Fortunately, we were able to keep out doors open and the school is in good standing.

Is HOH affiliated with IOCC?
Yes, HOH has worked closely with IOCC in the past and we have a formal agreement to help the Haiti mission grow its self-sustainability programs.
